There’s the Abbey to visit in Sligo, it costs 5 euro. I preferred to make the photos from outside and bot to pay for the entrance. The center has nothing special from my point of view.
I found in Belfast (city hall) the definition of a Pub:While I was reading the description, I had the impression that this meaning is old, and I had in my mind the Pubs that you have in each big city: you have the dark wood, nice beer, live music, dancing, everything glamorous. Exactly this kind of place I saw in Dublin. But this is actually made for tourists, because this is what we expect from a Pub, right?I was so happy to discover that...
Tourists ( including me) come to this place to see the famous statue of a woman waiting on the shore for the loved one. I was sad to notice that people just drive to the statue, go out from the car, make a photo and they drive further. This place has something so special, and going there to just have the photo is a loss. I liked to walk around, check for hidden gems and what I actually discovered was a place so calm and lonely. I loved it.
When I drove to the viewing point, I was not sure if that is the actual place to see the cliffs, and I was not the only one. There was a parking place and cars can go higher, but I preferred to walk. The parking place is free, and there is possible to park when you’re up at the viewing point – not an actual parking place -, but for me was the easiest way to walk the 1,6km.I met two tourist that told me that they walked a bit and...
I was at the cave early in the morning, so nobody was there – imagine yourself a beach on the moon – yeap, you have the image of the Mahera Beach.Very close to this beach is the Assaranca Waterfall – a small but noisy one.
Don’t drive in the park, even if the GPS is showing you the way to the castle – you are not allowed to drive in the park. I know this, because I was the only crazy person driving in a national park, and in my mind was only: “People are walking because they want to experience the park, it seems that I am the only lazy person that wants to drive to the castle”. Well … I was very confused seeing people looking at me....
I drove from Londonderry and the drive took me 2 hours – the roads were very narrow (space for one car only) and from time to time sheeps made the drive slower – but it was funny:The Malin head was so windy, I could barely stand. But the view is amazing! There is no Cafe up there. I was the only one brave enough to go there in one beautiful rainy morning of September. When I got there, the sun was so kind to show it’s face...
The parking and entrance to the visitor center costs 10,5 Pounds. I tried to park at the restaurant The Nook – it was not possible anymore. So you have to pay for the parking.
This is a very small city, but very charming – and incredible clean. You can find here a very beautiful church:a castle – it was closed when I arrive, and a fort:I loved to make a round of the lake inside the forest:
